Cogswell College Open House February 23, 2013

Cogswell College (http://www.cogswell.edu/), one of the world’s leading regionally-accredited institutions offering a unique curriculum that fuses digital arts, engineering and entrepreneurship, is holding an Open House (http://www.cogswell.edu/prospective/rsvp-open-house.php) on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at its Sunnyvale campus.

The Open House will provide an opportunity to tour Cogswell’s dynamic campus and learn more about its animation, game design, audio production, audio engineering, game audio, digital arts engineering, computer engineering, software engineering and entrepreneurship & innovation bachelor degree programs. Attendees will be able to visit with students, watch award-winning computer-animated short films, talk to an admissions representative and get answers to financial aid questions.

In addition to the chance for visitors to delve into Cogswell’s undergraduate “core” programs, the Open House will also allow interested guests to learn about the school’s new Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. This comprehensive one-year graduate program for creative professionals teaches entrepreneurial skills vital to both startups and established organizations being impacted by the extraordinary pace of change across creative industries. The program, which has an inaugural class of 11 students, began its second term in January and is currently accepting new applications.

The Open House will be accompanied by a performance by the newly-formed campus rock band, Dragonhearts. The band – a collection of ten Cogswell students and their instructor – will combine their assorted musical talents to jam out with an eclectic mix of rock, blues and funk music beginning at 10:30AM. Families are welcome and encouraged to come enjoy the music as they explore the many exciting opportunities offered by Cogswell’s distinct mixture of academic programs.
