Join the Cobb County Public Library System (CCPLS) for a week of free events held to celebrate National Library Week, April 12-18.

National Library Week is a time to celebrate libraries and the contributions of library staffs. This year’s theme, ‘Worlds connect @ your library,’ emulates a timely message about the vast amount of library resources for community members of all ages.

The CCPLS activities for National Library Week include:
CCPLS-wide: Take a virtual tour of our new databases from home, April 12. With your library card and PIN, logon from your home Internet connection to www.cobbcat.org and see our, ‘Online Resources.’

South Cobb: Family Connection Time, April 13 at 6 p.m. for families with children of all ages

Central Library: Reading Paws Storytime, April 14 at 4 p.m. for school-aged children (registration required)

Central Library: Video Gaming, April 15 at 4 p.m. for tweens and teens (ages 11-17)

Merchant’s Walk Library: Creative Writing, April 16 at 3:30 p.m. for children ages nine and older

Vinings Library: Reading Paws Storytime, April 16 at 3:30 p.m. for school-aged children (registration required)

Mountain View Library: Grand opening ribbon-cutting, April 17 at 11 p.m. and an ‘opening’ children’s storytime at 10 a.m.

West Cobb Library: Family Movie Matinee, April 18 at 3 p.m. for families with children of all ages
