CMNW presents "Music on Jewish Themes" Apollo Trio, David Krakauer, Dave Taylor and Michael Sarin February 5, 2011

CMNW presents "Music on Jewish Themes," combining the renowned Apollo Trio with some of the world’s most innovative jazz and klezmer all-stars: clarinetist David Krakauer, bass trombonist Dave Taylor, and drummer Michael Sarin. The concert marks the world premiere of the klezmer-inspired “Borscht Belt Follies” (the latest from Portland’s own award-winning composer, David Schiff), and also includes music by Bloch and Shostakovich, along with several klezmer arrangements.
