In other news, the Dallas Derby Devils are under new management! The league boasts a new attitude worth celebrating. They are still “skater owned and operated” but more skaters have stepped up to take the reins, so you can be assured of the same great sporting action. To go with the new business structure, DDD has launched a new Web site, so make sure you update your bookmarks to www.derbydevils.com.
When not at practice, the Devils continue the business of promoting and growing the league across North Texas. Clearly, DDD discovered a formula for success and are becoming stronger every season, heading into their sixth year of existence. The league is the largest of its kind, boasting the largest roster of active skaters—over 100 at last count—in the country. Volunteers are welcome. Security, production help, water boys, and ticket takers are a just few of the open positions. The league’s sponsorship drive remains underway to defray the league’s operating costs. Sponsors get bragging rights about being part of the derby revival at a ground level as they help the Dallas Derby Devils support worthy causes; a portion of all proceeds are donated to local charities every bout welcomes a new and worthy cause.
