'Closet Land' is an unsettling commentary on state sponsored torture. A writer of children's' books is taken from her home and accused of embedding subversive messages in a particular book. The book depicts a child who retreats to a locked closet as punishment for bad behavior. The government will use any means: physical, mental, soft and hard to gain a confession.
