We would like to invite you to the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on October 27 for a Q&A hosted by prominent Philadelphia film critic Carrie Rickey. She will talk with Oscar-winning filmmaker Robery Zemeckis as a part of the Kimmel Center's Close Encounters series. The event will take place in the Kimmel's Perelman Theatre at 3:30 pm. General admission is $20, while students gets a special discounted rate at $5.

Zemeckis' latest film, FLIGHT, stars DENZEL WASHINGTON as an airline pilot who by the
seat of his pants steers his aircraft out of a nosedive before experiencing other kinds of turbulence. Before Flight's local premiere at the Philadelphia Film Festival, Zemeckis will talk about the stories behind his film stories with film critic Carrie Rickey. A highlight reel of scenes from Zemeckis' films will open the conversation, during which the director will talk about a specific sequence in Flight and take questions from the audience.

Zemickis' Films include Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Contact, Castaway, Beowulf, A Christmas Carol, and Polar Express.
