Clifford THE BIG RED DOG Coloring Contest February 16, 2013

Get out your crayons, markers and colored pencils…it’s a Clifford THE BIG RED DOG coloring contest! All children ten (10) and under are eligible for PAWDI GRAS’ 1st ever coloring contest. Bring your beautiful art creation to the 2013 PAWDI GRAS, benefitting Plaquemines Animal Welfare Shelter (PAWS), for a chance to win a $25 Toys R Us gift card. THE BIG RED DOG himself will be on hand to draw the winning entry.

The Plaquemines community is already signing up in force to participate in this year’s PAWDI GRAS. Festivities kick off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th at Regions Bank, 8018 Hwy 23 and features one big dog…Clifford THE BIG RED DOG as he turns 50.

ELIGIBILITY: PAWS Coloring Contest is open to children ten (10) years of age or younger using the official PAWS coloring page only (downloadable from PAWS website at http://tinyurl.com/CliffordColoring). HOW TO ENTER: Each child can submit only one official coloring sheet which must be turned in no later than 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at an official registration table at Pawdi Gras 2013 (Regions Bank Building Parking Lot: 8018 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA). Include the child’s name and age where indicated on the coloring page. The winner of the PAWS coloring contest is picked based on a random drawing. Toys R Us gift card will be issued on Pawdi Gras day. Please note that the coloring contest rules may change anytime.

Beads and biscuits will be flying at this year’s Pawdi Gras Parade, which has something for pets and people alike. Clifford THE BIG RED DOG will be on hand to celebrate his 50th birthday with hugs and amazing photo opportunities. To honor THE BIG RED DOG’s big day, this year’s Pawdi Gras will feature a Clifford look-a-like contest, Clifford coloring contest and goodie bags of Clifford giveaways (while supplies last).

Clifford will also PAWtograph the new "For the Love of PAWS" coffee table book of the dogs and cats from New Orleans, a fund raiser to support PAWS efforts to rescue, shelter and adopt and provide educational and charitable services to pet owners in Plaquemines Parish.
