The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is a professional jazz orchestra founded in 1984 that performs music from the entire history of big band jazz providing audiences with a variety of classical jazz of the ‘20s and swing era plus contemporary jazz by leading composers. The CJO maintains a core of professional musicians from Northeast Ohio including leaders of jazz studies at area colleges such as Ashland University’s Thomas Reed and Scott Garlock.
