Cleveland Clinic Florida will be hosting a Community Health and Wellness Expo, where health specialists and fitness professionals will educate the community on preventive measures they can incorporate into their daily lives to stay healthy.
Cleveland Clinic’s Community Health and Wellness Expo will include an interactive Jazzercise® class and demonstrations throughout the day, a yoga class by Midtown Athletic Center and an exercise class for senior citizens by Fitness 21. All members of the community are encouraged to come prepared to exercise and participate in health and fitness demonstrations for all ages. Classes begin at 10:30 a.m.
In addition a healthy cooking demonstration will be held by Cleveland Clinic’s Executive Chef to educate the community on heart healthy foods and recipes. Health and wellness information will be provided by Cleveland Clinic Florida health experts.
The Expo also offers free, on-site blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings, stretch assessments, strength assessments, body mass index readings, risk assessments and much more.
The event will offer something for the entire family with activities for kids such as fire truck tours, youth exercises, lunch pack nutrition, and sports concussion prevention at the interactive kids’ zone.
