Clean Up and Green Up March 10, 2013

Clean Up and Green Up is a free community-wide recycle, repurpose and reuse event hosted by Michigan Green Consortium at American Waste, 280 Hughes Drive in Traverse City on Sunday March 10, 2013 from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Each event expands the range of items collected in an effort to educate residents on the vast range of goods that should not end up in area landfills because they are constructed from materials that can be recycled, reprocessed or have continued purpose. The Clean Up and Green Up event is known for free collection of items that typically cost money to dispose of. While tires have been accepted in the past, Michigan Green Consortium announces that tires will not be collected at this upcoming event, although it hopes to provide that service once again in the fall.
