Each gargoyle is different, based on human and animal forms, but exaggerated or distorted. It is commonly believed that they are protectors, keeping evil away from medieval castles. You can still spot them on buildings today, even in Philadelphia. In the studio, try your hand at designing and sculpting your own gargoyles out of clay. Learn sculpting techniques to create this fun and freaky halloween decoration.
