The Classical Recording Foundation will honor its 2010 winners at its 9th Annual Award Ceremony and Benefit. CRF applies the universal model of philanthropically-supported live concerts to the recording of new classical performances. Since 2002, when it was founded by Grammy Award winning producer Adam Abeshouse, it has supported more than 30 new recordings. The ceremony will feature CRF Samuel Sanders Collaborative Artists Award winners violinist Maria Bachmann and pianist Jon Klibonoff performing Philip Glass’s first-ever Sonata for Violin and Piano; soprano Susanna Phillips and pianist Donald Berman in new songs by CRF Composer of the Year Scott Wheeler; and performances by rising-star pianists and CRF Young Artists of the Year Natasha Paremski and Orion Weiss. The proceeds from the 2010 Classical Recording Foundation Award Ceremony and Benefit will go toward making the 2011 Awards possible.
