Raymond Leppard, Conductor Apollo's Voice, Choir Jan Harrington, Director On a bitter cold December night in Vienna two hundred years ago, Beethoven presented a legendary marathon concert. Nothing went right — lamps broke, instruments fell apart, and a curious choir boy suffered a blow to the face from Beethoven’s erratic conducting.
