RULES FOR SUBMISSION To be considered for a spot in the preliminaries, please submit a 3-4 minute video clip/link to: info@ditchdogentertainment.com The deadline for submissions is: March 2nd. 2010. Contestants will be notified no later than March 8th, 2010. Further details will be given at that time. Please include name, contact telephone number and email address.
Or be prepared to perform a 3-4 minute showcase set at “Comedy in the Raw” at the Tampa Improv Backstage. (dates to be announced) Limited number of spots available. Comics may also secure a spot on the preliminaries through invitation or recommendation from a comedy venue or industry source. Invitation determined by competition organizer. There is no entry fee.
RULES OF THE GAME This will be the 6th Clash of the Comics Competition. Previous Clash champions have gone on to become veteran working comics and continue to tour as we speak. This year the competition has changed.
 There will be four (4) preliminary showcases. Dates: 3/18, 4/15, 5/18 & 5/19. Locations TBA. Each showcase will consist of eight (8) comics
 Each comic will perform 2 sets, 4 minutes each; original material
 The top two (2) comics will move on to the Semi-Finals at the Tampa Improv; with the exception of one of the preliminaries in which only a single spot will be awarded.
 Winners for the preliminaries are determined by overall performance and judged by venue management and DitchDog Entertainment Talent coordinator
 Semi-Finals will take place at the Tampa Improv, June 9, 2010 at 8pm in the Main Room. A total of 8 semi-finalists will perform 2 sets, 4 minutes each. 1st set will be a chosen topic given to comics in advance; 2nd set will be original material. The top three (3) comics will be chosen based on Judges scores. Judges will consist of Improv management, DitchDog Entertainment talent coordinator and guest judge. Special Guest Performances for the semi-finals and Finals!
 The Final Clash! Top 3 comics throwdown in two rounds. Comics will perform 6-7 minutes each round. Round 1: chosen topic given to comics in advance; Round 2: Original material. Winner is determined by Judges scores. Judged by Improv management, DitchDog Entertainment representative and guest judge TBA. In the event of a scoring tie, audience will determine winner.
 Comics Judged on a ten point scale on the following: originality; stage presence; audience response; timing and overall performance. Total possible points: fifty (50).
PRIZES
 First Prize: $500 cash and a Deluxe Road Comics Starter Kit
 Second and Third place: $100 each and a Road Comics Starter Kit
