Civic Orchestra of Chicago: Unfinished Symphony December 7, 2008

Conductor, Bernard Haitink joins the Civic Orchestra in a performance of Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony. Rising-star conductor, David Afkham, will lead the orchestra in a performance of Strauss' tone poem, 'Death and Transfiguration,' whose music depicts the emotional death-bed catharsis of an artist.
