Citywide Yard Sale June 9, 2007

If you like yard sales, youll love Benton Citys citywide yard sale. Now in its third year, the event continues to grow. There were 53 participating sales last year, and even more are expected this year. Benton Citys First United Methodist Church UMW group will also be holding their annual multi-seller parking lot sale in conjunction with the citywide sale, so therell be lots of great stuff to choose from.

In addition to yard sales at many homes in the area, a number of sellers will be set up in City Park, 806 Dale Ave. The park provides a central area for sellers from outlying areas and others who want to make sure they get plenty of traffic. Public restrooms will be available at the Community Center in the park from 8 am to 5 pm, and the Benton City Merchants Association will offer concessions.

Come early for the best selection of merchandise, but yard sale day also offers a perfect opportunity to explore the small town charm of Benton City. Many local merchants will be offering sidewalk sales or other special promotions. Stay a while and youll be sure to enjoy your visit to the friendly little town next door.
