Cellist Matt Haimovitz joins CityMusic Cleveland for FREE concerts all over Northeast Ohio. Last seen at Beachland Ballroom, Haimovitz (born in Israel, living in Canada) returns to Cleveland with guest conductor Danail Rachev (born in Bulgaria, living in Dallas) to bring you a world of great music! Theyre the perfect match for CityMusic Cleveland, the professional chamber orchestra -- called "electrifying" by the Plain Dealer -- now in its third season.
Composed of the area's best free-lance musicians, CityMusic Cleveland develops new audiences for the arts and serves as a catalyst for community building. CityMusic chooses repertoire to appeal to a wide-ranging audience, including those new to orchestral concerts.
Performances are informal; the musicians exude joy. At intermission, you'll enjoy conversation and refreshments while greeting the musicians and friends, and viewing the paintings of local artist Sarah Curry. CityMusic Cleveland concerts are FREE. Families with children are welcome; there is even free childcare (reserve for your child at (440) 322-6622).
