The City of Joondalup Invitation Art Award is entering its 12th year in 2009. The Exhibition offers one of the largest cash prizes of its kind in Western Australia –$12,500.

In 2009 the Exhibition will include the work of thirty-seven WA-based artists, covering a broad range of styles and media.

A key strength of the Award is that its open format allows the invited artists ample freedom to explore ideas and concerns of primary interest within their ongoing practice.
