Cirque Urbain - a fire, arts, and dance festival June 16, 2007

Cirque Urbain is the Washington, DC region’s first performance art event to feature “alternative” arts, such as fire dancing, hula hooping, aerialists, burlesque acts, sideshow acts, and unique dance groups. The more than 50 artists participating in Cirque Urbain aim to use this event to raise the region’s awareness of and appreciation for these arts. The event is being organized by the artists themselves and graciously hosted by the Washington Glass School, which aims to increase its involvement with and support of these art forms.
