The gravity defying performers of the international troupe Cirque Le Masque will take center stage on Thursday, April 29th, at 7:30 p.m. at The Robert L. & Elizabeth S. Cole Auditorium at Richmond Community College in Hamlet. The performance is an amazing display of theatrical artistry and comic audience interaction. Pre-show entertainment starts at 7:15 p.m.
The performers display quick reflexes, impeccable timing, and human art. The creators of the show have taken an idea, a framework, and developed an amazing display of theatrical artistry and comic audience interaction. The show is described as the perfect blend of theater technology and creative entertainment.
“This type of show has always been a real crowd-pleaser,” said Cole Auditorium Director Joey Bennett. “We have always been very pleased with the audience response when we have presented acrobatic acts and cirque troupes in the past.”
Bennett says this show will surpass the technical levels of past acrobatic act performances at the Cole.
“For this show we are pulling out all the stops. We are installing additional support structures over the stage to allow the troupe to perform some of the aerial stunts,” Bennett added.
In this sophisticated European-style circus, brilliantly costumed jugglers, acrobats, and aerialists perform gasp-inducing acts of balance, grace, strength and detailed teamwork set to spellbinding special effects and creatively inventive lighting, choreography and music.
The show is perfect for audience members of all ages.
