'Le Cirque Imaginaire' is the creation of Victoria Chaplin -- the third of Charlie Chaplin's daughters -- and her husband, Jean Baptiste Thierree. In this show, Chaplin stands in for an entire troupe of aerialists, equilibrists and wire-walkers. She also plays tame and wild animals, which she evokes through the chimerical use of costumes and masks. Singly, Thierree represents all the clowns. Together, they are a complete, portable toy circus.
