The Haunting is one of the most genuinely spooky films ever made! An unlikely group of medium psychics and skeptics is brought by an expert of the paranormal to one of the most notorious haunted houses in the world. Together they spend a weekend of sheer terror as the spirits of the house attempt to make some of them leave, and some of them stay…forever. Superb in his execution, Wise creates an atmosphere of ghostly suspense, through subtle suggestion and sound effects, and in a stroke of sheer brilliance, the house itself becomes one of the characters of the story.
