34 Tavistock St., Covent Garden
London, England

Lovecraft’s work has been called ‘unfilmable’ yet many brave (perhaps damned) souls have made the attempt. In addition to direct adaptations of Lovecraft tales, this week will attempt to create tentacles of connections with less obvious but nonetheless Lovecraftian consistencies in a variety of films. The emphasis here will be on explosive bursts of Lovecraftianism, to elaborate the ways Lovecraft’s work has infected much cinema beyond adaptation. Eventually we will, perhaps radically, attempt to use cines**uality in a way that encourages us to become our own Randolph Caters, using cinema to perceive beyond seeing, to become multiple, animal, vegetable, colour, sound and nothing as everything. Patricia MacCormack invites you to a night of screening, theory and engaging discussion. Price: £10.00 Time: 7.15 for a 7.30 start
