Santa Ana, California: Santa Ana College Department of Theatre Arts presents a whacky version of the Cinderella Fairy Tale. In “Cinderella Waltz” Rosey Snow is trapped in a fairy tale world that is both funny and frightening, with her stepsisters Goneril and Regan, a demented stepmother, a lecherous father, a bewildered prince, an unusual fairy godmother, a troll, and a possibly homicidal “Village Idiot.” Zany farce and romantic fantasy blend perfectly in this charming fairy tale for adults. “Cinderella Waltz” is not recommended for children under 13 years of age due to adult content. Phillips Hall Little Theatre is an intimate black box theatre with minimal seating and reservations are recommended, as most performances will sell out!
Santa Ana College Instructor John DeMita directs a whacky ensemble that includes; Kari Larson of Costa Mesa; Max Erler, Jose Camberos and Rhea Richardson of Garden Grove; Glenda Wright of Lake Forest; Maria Niewola and Walter Campbell of Orange; Craig Leibowitz of Redondo Beach; Nick Cagle of San Juan Capistrano;
and Brian Salero of Santa Ana. Chelsea Small of Orange is Stage Manager.
