City Parks Foundation proudly presents Cinderella Samba at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park. This description is provided by the foundation: "Set in the lush landscape of Brazil, this timeless fairy tale finds Cinderella and her Prince in a Samba contest at the Carnival Ball. The show’s main characters, including Cinderella, the Prince, the cruel stepmother, and her amusingly self-absorbed daughters, are all reinvented in a fun and lively Brazilian kingdom. The new setting allows for creative leaps, like the addition of dazzling floats at the Carnival parade and the introduction of character Rei Momo, the king of the Carnival Ball, while maintaining the dramatic story of Cinderella."
