This version of Cinderlla brings a new view to the classic tale through the style of British Pantomime. This is NOT silent mime, but a lively play with music, magic, comedy, slapsitck goofiness and sudience participation. It's sure to be a hit with all ages. Snatchit
My name is Snatchit. I am appearing in the upcoming play, "Cinderella," at the Northfield Arts Guild Theatre.
I see you're looking for information about our play. I cannot stress enough: THIS ISN'T THE DISNEY VERSION. It is wacky. It is nutty. And sometimes, it's just plain bizarre. Many men play women's roles, and vice versa.
The Ugly Sisters have accumulated quite a bit of debt on behalf of their father, the Baron. It is the job of my sidekick, Grabbit, and myself to collect the money or else! We love to show up at the most inopportune moments. This is, of course, only a subplot in the story. Don't worry, there will also be a handsome prince, a slipper, a ball, etc.
Especially interesting in this production is the use of technology to create the environment for the actors. There is a very limited set. Most of the scenery consists of pictures projected onto the walls of the stage. There are several scenes that have been filmed and will be shown as little movies within the play. I am excited for this, as it will be my silver screen debut.
