Do you have Diabetes? CHW East Valley invites you to a free seminar on February 16th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with Dr. Myron Hansen, a board certified Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgeon.
How does having diabetes affect your feet?
: High blood glucose levels over time can damage nerves and decrease the body’s ability to fight infection.
: When diabetes is not well controlled, it can damage organs and impair the immune system.
You may have an increased risk for developing a diabetic foot if you:
: Have poorly fitting footwear
: Have nerve damage
: Have low circulation
: Have trauma to the foot
: Have infections
: Smoke
Dinner will be provided. For more information about his seminar or to register, please call ResourceLink at 1.877.728.5414 or email resourcelink@chw.edu.
