Chugalkhor Ghutoorr. Ghoom - Play. Written and directed by Ramnath Tharwal. Performed by child artistes. Chugalkhor is a story of a class monitor who is a sneak, back-stabbing has become a bad habit with her- when the teacher is busy, she takes charge. But her tale-carrying ways cast her into a sticky situation. Will she change for the better? Look out for the gags and the comic interludes. A Kalaghar Production. GhutoorrGhoom takes a look at how mindless development can skew happiness and peace. A ruler wants to modernise his kingdom, with scant regard for the environment. Mills and industries come up in coastal areas, destroying marine life, trees are felled for buildings, the birds have no shelter, and the atmosphere is heating up. The people are tense and unhappy and the ruler the butt of their anger. The king has a pigeon, named Ghuttorrrghoom, a wise creature that gives him valuable advice. Then drought strikes. Realising his weaknesses, the ruler runs away from his responsibilities.
