Chuck D of Public Enemy will be at Guitar Center on 14th St (between 5th Av and 6th Av) promoting his band's new album and TuneCore (www.tunecore.com), the company he picked to have the album distributed digitally.
TuneCore lets anyone who has recorded their own music use them to get their songs made for sale in the iTunes music store and other digital stores (Napster, eMusic, Rhapsody) -- for about $30-45 up front, but they don't take a cut of your money when the music sells.
Plus they'll have limited supplies of Public Enemy t-shirts and vouchers for the new album, when you pay to use the TuneCore service.
