CHRISTOPHER MOORE returns with YOU SUCK: A Love Story. Being dead sucks. Make that being undead sucks. Literally. Just ask C. Thomas Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike any he’s ever had, he discovers his girlfriend Jody – the woman of his dreams – is a vampire. And surprise! Now he’s one, too. The whole biting thing would have been a deal breaker for some couples. But Tommy and Jody are in love. They’re going to work through their issues – like how much Jody should teach Tommy about his new powers (and how much he needs to learn on his own). Plus there’s Tommy’s cute new minion, 16-year-old goth girl Abby Normal. (Well, someone has to run errands during daylight hours…). Making the relationship work, however, is the least of Jody and Tommy’s problems. Word has it that the bloodsucker who nibbled on Jody wasn’t supposed to be recruiting any new members into the club. Even worse, a dangerous faction of old longtooth is bent on wiping all new vampires out of this life and the afterlife – or the hereafter (or whatever). Including Tommy and Jody and wannabe Abby. And that would really suck. Chris Moore is a long-time favorite at Cody’s, and if you’ve not had the pleasure of reading his work, do not hesitate a moment longer. Plan to meet the most imaginative storyteller around; did we mention he makes readers laugh out loud?
