Christmas Jazz Night with Binkys' Dixie December 9, 2008

An evening of entertainment from our resident Jazz band at the club from Binkys' Dixie Demons fronted by the legendary banjoist Billy Gyford, who is well known on the European Jazz Circuit.

On trumpet is Denny Ilett from with the world famous Max Collies Rhythm Aces. He was described as "One of England's best trumpet players" by the late Humphrey Lyttleton Richard White, on clarinet and saxaphones, is one of Britain's most underrated reed player - surely it's only a matter of time before this musician gets the recognition he truly deserves.

Completing this swinging cornet is local bass player David Doel, who also fronts his own band Western Swing.

The Social Club is situated 100 yards in Hill Road on the left at the crossroads by the church.

Non members are especially welcome, and it would be an opportunity to experience the excellent facilities the club has to offer.

There is a fully stocked bar with reasonbly priced drinks and there is a dance floor for those wishing to waggle a crafty hoof! Mince Pies and Christmas spirit will be plentiful.
