Christmas in the Quarters December 18, 2010

Explore the holidays at Redcliffe Plantation from the perspective of the enslaved women, men, and children that were owned by the Hammond family. Participants will be guided through the slave quarters and hear stories about 19th century Christmas rituals. Five categories are presented that highlight important aspects of the holiday season for Hammond's slaves.
