Santa Claus will kick off “Christmas in Cabazon” by riding his motorcycle to the James A. Venable Community Center in Cabazon. All area residents are invited to attend the event on Sunday, December 14th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center at 50390 Carmen Ave., in Cabazon

The event will begin with Santa revving his motorcycle in a parade that features a tractor drawn wagon, Sheriff’s cars, a fire engine and dozens of members of the Inland Empire Harley Davidson Owners Group.

After Santa and Mrs. Claus (played by Bill Robbins and Sue Blare) arrive at the event, they will distribute toys and clothes to children.

The event will also feature caroling, holiday music, face painting, hayrides and free food.
Pete the Horse will be available for pictures with the children.

Fifth District Supervisor Marion Ashley is planning to attend the event.

The event is sponsored by Fifth District Supervisor Marion Ashley and the Inland Empire Harley Owners Group, sponsored by Skip Fordyce and Buell and Family Service Association. Other sponsors include the Cabazon Water District, Cabazon Fire Station #24 and other local businesses and private donors. Sponsorships are available.

Donations of unwrapped toys and clothes are being accepted for the event.

The James A. Venable Community Center is operated by Family Service Association and offers programs such as senior nutrition, child care, recreation, room rentals, resource and referrals and counseling services.
