Christmas Eve at Ambrosia December 24, 2008

The award-winning Ambrosia Restaurant (http://www.ocpavilion.com) is pleased to offer a 4-course Christmas Eve dinner on December 24, prepared by acclaimed Executive Chef Michael Rossi.

The 4-course menu is a celebration of the seasonal marketplace, featuring the freshest fruits, vegetables and entrees of the season. The dinner will run from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and prices are $55 per adult. Children 12 and under can order from a special menu for $20 per child. Guests will be treated to jazz and holiday music during dinner.

The menu features a choice of four Starters including Nova Scotia Lobster Risotto, Roasted Petaluma Quail, House-Made Saffron Gnocchi, and Pan Seared Artisan Foie Gras. The next course features a choice of Butternut Squash Velouté or Baby Spinach Salad. Guests can pick from four featured entrees on the menu including Iowa ‘Country Cut’ Pork Chop, ‘Organic’ Jidori Chicken, Sierra Golden Trout, and Black Angus ‘Prime’ Flat Iron Steak. The bountiful feast is concluded with dessert offerings of Bûche de Noël, Panettone ‘Bread Pudding’, Egg Nog Crème Brûlée, and Old-Fashioned Apple Cobbler.

The Ambrosia Restaurant features hundreds of varieties of the finest international and domestic wines by the bottle and the glass. The international wine selection represents different regions of France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, and more. Domestic wines are available from Napa, Sonoma, Alexander and Columbia Valleys, Washington, and more.

Ambrosia’s Executive Chef Michael Rossi has received local and international praise for his culinary skills and last year became a member of the Fraternity of the Côtes of Bordeaux Wine Council in a ceremony in France.

The Ambrosia Restaurant was awarded 2007 Best Restaurant in Orange County by OC Weekly readers, 2007 and 2008 Best Neighborhood Restaurant/Chef by Orange County Register readers and is featured on Gayot.com as Orange County’s Most Romantic Restaurant and Best Wine List. Ambrosia is located on the second floor of the OC Pavilion. The OC Pavilion theatre features varied acts on the main stage including musical concerts, comedy shows, theatre, dance, and more.
