Christmas at Union Station | Nov. 23-Dec. 31, 2012
This popular holiday celebration began in the 1930s when Union Pacific would decorate and display large evergreens from the Pacific Northwest for Union Station travelers to enjoy. Today, this cherished tradition continues with the region’s largest indoor Christmas tree and an exceptional line-up of family friendly events. The annual celebration begins with the Tree Lighting Ceremony, held the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas at Union Station continues throughout December and into the first week of January. During this time, the museum presents live entertainment every Saturday and Sunday prior to Christmas, which features performances by local school and community groups.
