The Lobby Gallery is pleased to present "Boys will be..." and
"Snapshots," two recent series by Chicago photographer Christa Holka.
"Boys will be..." is a series of highly cinematic images of people in their 20s and beyond who are living through what the artist calls a "second adolescence" - people who have finally become comfortable enough with themselves to enjoy their own coming of age. "Snapshots," a series of images culled from over 5,000 digital shots of her circle of friends is a diaristic account of life in a subculture and the tightly knit, ad-hoc family groups that sometimes form within.
