Sharp, candid and mordantly funny, Chris Killen's debut novel, The Bird Room (Canongate), is a love story with a twist. Tonight he'll also be reading and talking about his short fiction, published in anthologies and e-zines including Brace, Flux and 3AM. In addition to his work on the page, Chris is well known for his prize-winning blog, Day of Moustaches. He was born in 1981, and lives in Manchester, where he runs ‘No Point in Not Being Friends' a regular live literature event in the city centre.
