Chorus on a "Queen Quest" August 9, 2010

The Choral-Aires Chorus, a Sweet Adelines International medaling chorus, invites area women to its popular annual quartet workshop at 7 p.m., Monday, August 9, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (345 S. Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst). This year’s workshop, titled “Queen Quest” is hosted by “Impact” the 2010 Sweet Adelines International Region 3 champion quartet. Members from the International Queen of Harmony quartets from the Chorus will coach vocal sessions.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.; guests will find ample parking in one of the two church parking lots, and on surrounding streets. Refreshments provided at this free event.

A four-part barbershop chorus, the Choral-Aires Chorus consistently receives high marks at the Sweet Adelines international competition. Women of all ages who desire to be a part of an outstanding chorus are invited to join the Choral-Aires Chorus during weekly rehearsals held each Monday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (345 S. More than 100 women from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin sing tight harmonies a capella (without instrumentation) with the Choral-Aires Chorus, the 2008 Lake Michigan Region 3 Champion with the Sweet Adelines International.
