Choral Festival March 7, 2009

Saturday evening three campuses of MGCCC will participate in an historic concert in Biloxi. This event has been four years in the planning.

Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Community and Junior College choirs from all over Mississippi will convene to perform with the Gulf Coast Symphony. There will be about 400 singers divided into two groups to perform two major works with the symphony. The works are the Poulenc Gloria and Songs of the Slave by Meachem.

To accommodate all these singers the concert has been moved to the Biloxi Jr. High School auditorium. It will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 general admission and $10 for students and can be obtained by calling 435-9800.
