Chinese American Dancing Group Presents 2009 Chinese American Dance Festival November 14, 2009

An exciting performance of traditional Chinese classical and folk dances, depicting the unique lifestyles and cultures of several Chinese tribes. A perfect blend of past and present where traditional movements have been enhanced through modern ideas and methods of presentation, these dances celebrate the continual strength of Chinese culture and presence, and the technical skills of each creative and unique dance style.

The Chinese American Dancing Group was formed in 1987 by Dr. Jaw John Chang, recipient of the “Flying Phoenix Award,” Taiwan’s highest instructor award. The dance group promotes Chinese culture, raises multicultural awareness, and provides a professional training center for dancers. Well known for its excellent performances CADG has showcased its own major dance productions since 1991.
