Chimes of Christmas December 5, 2012

Since the 1950s, audiences have delighted in this uplifting holiday spectacular, with magical performances by the IU Jacobs School of Music's Grammy Award-nominated vocal ensemble the Singing Hoosiers, under the direction of Michael Schwartzkopf, and the soaring music of the IU Wind Ensemble, led by Stephen W. Pratt. Each year, 'Chimes' guests file into IU Auditorium to the sounds of 'Hark! A Christmas Fanfare' by the Trombone Choir, directed by Carl Lenthe. The concert includes audience-participation sing-a-longs, and, finally, a visit from a jovial, singing Santa.
