One of Brighton Festival's most enduring spectacles - the annual Children's Parade - enters its 19th year in 2009 with another cavalcade of costume, colour and fiesta-style fanfare.
This year's theme is the elements - earth, air, fire and water. So expect a force of nature as over 4,000 participants from 70 schools and community groups parade through the city's streets to the pulsing beat of samba.
With over 10,000 onlookers and a beachfront musical finale, this symbol of Brighton's creative energy is the biggest and brightest community event of its type in the country.
