KOCO Channel 5 Hosts Children’s Miracle Network Annual Telecast

Children’s Miracle Network will recognize sponsors for their hard work, speak with children who have been supported by CMN, and take live donations during the annual telecast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2008 on KOCO TV-5.

The public is invited to come and make personal donations during the hours of the telecast.

Anchors Rick Mitchell, Sarah Libby, Anita Blanton, John Flick, Paul Folger, Jessica Schambach and Wendell Edwards will host the broadcast and 96.1 KXY deejays Bill Reed, Dan Stroud, Patti Garrett and Tom Travis will co-host the last hour of the telecast live.

Viewers will watch miracle children tell their inspirational life saving stories and be inspired by local sponsors who donate to Children’s Miracle Network. Children’s Medical Research Institute physician-scientists and community volunteers will also be featured during the event.

“KOCO 5 is proud to partner again this year with Children’s Miracle Network,” said Rick Mitchell, Chief Meteorologist. “It’s a cause we really believe in and we encourage all of our viewers to join us in supporting vital research, treatment and care they provide for so many Oklahoma children.”

Children’s Miracle Network works alongside Children’s Medical Research Institute to help fund pediatric research, education and clinical care for Oklahoma’s children. No child is ever turned away for inability to pay and 100 percent of all funds raised stay in Oklahoma for our kids.
