Children's Day May 21, 2011

The day will be filled with fun from the latter half of the nineteenth century. Families will enjoy games from the late 1800's like Graces, Croquet and the Elements, as well as toys from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Children will enjoy discovering art, architecture, and "tails" of the plantation the pets of Redcliffe, during house tours designed to appeal to younger children. Every year Redcliffe partners with a special guest for a fun program like a tea party, story time or nature walk. Contact the park for details about this year's special program. As an end to the day families are encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy a favorite pastime of the Victorian period picnicking.
