Johan Amselem, a French dancer and choreographer of contemporary works, will be connecting with the local French community in Minneapolis this week. Amselem will conduct a children’s dance workshop at Pierre Bottineau French Immersion School on Saturday, June 23 at 11am. Come take a look at the new school and let your kids explore contemporary dance, while learning French, in a workshop with the artist. This event is free and open to the public.
Johan Amselem is in Minnesota as the first McKnight International Fellow to be selected by Northrop Concerts and Lectures. He is developing a new work entitled Bon Appétit. Born in the French Riviera and now a Paris resident, Amselem choreographs many modern dance solos and duos as well as theater performances.
