Adam, Eve and Noah—as well as the Father who created them—will deliver an inspiring message for all ages during the upcoming performance of “Children of Eden” at the Jewish Family Theater (JFT). This Broadway musical, which is freely based on the story of Genesis, frankly and humorously examines the age-old conflict between parents, children and faith.
Music and lyrics are by Stephen Schwartz, who also composed the award-winning musicals “Godspell,” “Pippin” and “Wicked.” In this show, Schwartz explores intergenerational conflicts to deliver the stirring, yet bittersweet message that “the hardest part of love…is letting go.”
The artistic director is Debra Clinton, and two veteran actors returning to the JFT stage are David Wein and Ruth McMahon, both of whom performed in former JFT musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” and “How to Succeed.” Traditionally the JFT shows attract sell-out audiences, so early ticket purchase is recommended.
