The Children Moon Festival is one of the largest Vietnamese American festivals in the nation. The festival focuses on three main areas: children’s programming, food harvest, and a lantern procession. Although the origins of this festival are rooted in Vietnamese tradition, individuals from other ethnic communities are also invited to participate and share in the festivities, including those of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, and Filipino descent.
