Pop legends The Beach Boys will perform with the acclaimed 60-piece Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, conducted by Grammy winning artist and Chicago resident Arnie Roth, at The Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road on Saturday, March 24 at 8 pm.
This is the first time the iconic group will perform in the Chicagoland area with a full symphony. The Beach Boys' first hit "Surfin'" launched a string of chart-topping songs that spans nearly forty years and includes #1 hits "Help Me Rhonda," "I Get Around," "Good Vibrations" and "Kokomo." They provided eternal anthems for American youth in their top 10 hits such as "Surfin' USA," "Surfer Girl," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "California Girls," "Barbara Ann," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Rock and Roll Music" and more. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, and their unique blend of harmonies, musical arrangements and timeless lyrics still place their music among the all-time favorites of today's music critics. Rolling Stone magazine recently named Pet Sounds as the #2 Best Album of All-Time, and VH1 has included several hits from The Beach Boys in their 100 Greatest Songs of Rock & Roll. The Beach Boys were honored at the 2001 Grammy
