The “world’s largest triathlon,” will take place along Chicago’s lakefront on Sunday, August 29. Triathletes will swim through the waters of Lake Michigan, bike on the lanes of scenic Lake Shore Drive and run down Chicago’s lakefront path, past the many wonders of Chicago’s architectural skyline. The swim start is in Monroe Harbor, south of the Chicago Yacht Club. International distance is 1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run. There is also a sprint distance offered, approximately half the length. International Pro Athletes come from around the world for this “can’t-miss” event. The Chicago Triathlon is an important race in the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series – Race for the Toyota Cup.
