Established in 1982, the Chicago Music Awards honors the best in music and entertainment such from the windy city. This multi-cultural event features appearances and performances by a range of Chicago performers. Past stars include Daniel Barenboim, Curtis Mayfield, Kanye West, Chaka Kahn, Ramsey Lewis, The Chi-Lites, Von Freeman, Ricky Luis, Jimmy Damon, Frank Pisano and the Mighty Dells among others.
